A police cordon is in place in Burnage
Police have taped off a south Manchester road this morning following a serious incident which left a man in hospital.
"A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray. He remains in police custody. An investigation has been launched and officers are continuing to follow several lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances of what happened this morning. Just before 1am this morning , we were called to reports of a man with a knife on Kingsway in Didsbury.
Detectives are urging anyone with information, or who witnessed this incident or has dashcam/CCTV footage from the moments prior or in the aftermath to contact police - please call 101 quoting incident 96 of 13/09/2024.We have been sent these pictures from the incident on Kingsway earlier this morning. The road has since reopened, but Lane End Road remains closed.Good morning. Police are on the scene in Burnage today following an incident in the early hours of the morning.
