Luke O'Connor's mother fights back tears in the witness box as Shiloh Pottinger sentenced for son's death - latest updates
Describing her son, Luke's mum said he was 'beautiful and kind’."He was a gentle giant, and had a heart of gold."He was kind, he saw the positive in anything or anyone, and he was calm."That is one thing that can never be taken away from me."Mr O'Connor's mother has hit out at Pottinger, claiming he was 'blowing kisses' to his family during the trial.
Addressing the defendant, she says: "This person has shown no remorse and has not taken any responsibility for his actions."You tore our hearts out and shattered our lives."Now Mr O'Connor's mother has come to the witness box to tell the court about her son, reading a statement.She says: "Luke was not looking for a fight that night."Luke had chosen to walk away from something that was escalating.
