King Charles III to be formally proclaimed monarch in first televised Accession Council
Prince William, the new Prince of Wales now that his father has become King Charles III, has stepped up to royal duties after the exit of his brother, Harry, and uncle, Andrew.
"He succeeds me as Duke of Cornwall and takes on the responsibilities for the Duchy of Cornwall which I have undertaken for more than five decades. "William, 40, has so far managed to carve a life largely out of the spotlight, taking on military and civilian jobs and as a hands-on father of three with his wife, Catherine, proving popular with the public.They have also advocated for protecting the environment and conservation, showing a more modern face to the ancient institution.King Charles will be officially proclaimed Britain's new monarch at a meeting of the Accession Council at St James's Palace on Saturday.
