LIVE | 'False propaganda' was generated against Mkhwebane - Mpofu
Mpofu is now comparing court cases like the Nkandla ruling and the case for the release of the State Capture report to Mkhwebane's litigation. He says they seemed risky at the time, but continue to pay dividends later. Mpofu is arguing that Mkwhebane's litigation isn't reckless, as Samuel testified.Mpofu says it is unfair to blame Mkhwebane for the negative reaction following court rulings. He says Samuel's"theory" that Mkhwebane litigated recklessly is flawed.
Mpofu now refers to a letter Mkwhebane wrote requesting improvements to section 7 letters to Magashule and Zwane. These letters inform them there is an investigation in which they are implicated.Mpofu attempts to prove that Mkhwebane didn't shield Magashule and Zwane by referring to a letter to Samuel by another investigator, in which there was a reference to findings. Samuel says the letter was written in"defiance" of Mkhwebane's instruction.
