LIVE: Emergency services seal off road after building collapses - latest updates
Bricks and rumble can be seen across the pavement, with the inside of the property visible from the outside. It's not clear what the building was being used for, and if any injuries were reported. No more details about the nature of the incident or how the property came to collapse have been released at this stage.
Greater Manchester Fire Service and Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information about the incident. Travel service Manc Traffic has tweeted: "A collapsed building on the corner of Mellor Street means a closure of Stand Lane, Radcliffe from New Road onto Church Street. "Divert using New Road, Dale Street, Deansgate, and Church St West. It may be like this into the Monday morning peak so allow extra time."
