EFF supporters are starting to fill the FNB Stadium, where the party is hosting its 10th-anniversary bash. In about an hour, the EFF president Julius Malema will come inside the pitch to greet people.A helicopter with a banner of the EFF flies on top of the FNB Stadium. The mood is very jovial as supporters dance and cheer. Everyone is clad in red EFF t-shirts, with some supporters wearing the signature red beret.
Speaking to guests at the EFF's 10th birthday gala dinner at Emperors Palace on Thursday evening, Malema said:"Floyd and I complement each other very well. I have made it clear to Floyd that the day you get tired of me, don't organise against me. Just tell me, 'I think you have served your time.'The Economic Freedom Fighters are holding their 10th birthday celebration at the FNB stadium, south of Johannesburg.
Former EFF KwaZulu-Natal chairperson Vusi Khoza is one of more than 400 leaders the party has banned from attending its 10th anniversary rally at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday. Hours before the EFF announced the list of public representatives - including MPs, members of provincial legislators and councillors - who would not be attending the celebration for failing to organise transportation for their constituencies to attend the big bash.
The red berets came out in their numbers, remaining adamant that the Kenyan pan-Africanist scholar would deliver his keynote address at the Sarah Baartman Hall at the university on Monday evening. The talk forms part of the EFF's 10th-anniversary celebrations.
