The Blitzboks have gone two from two in Group B at the Commonwealth Games after defeating Tonga in Birmingham on Friday.Skipper Siviwe Soyizwapi got the Blitzboks off to a flyer as he crossed the whitewash first before Christie Grobbelaar scored a stunning brace. But Tonga kept on pushing and replied at the half-time hooter with a try by Samisoni Asi.
South Africa extended their lead in the second half with a try from JC Pretorius and Sakoyisa Makata, with Ronald Brown adding two conversions. Mfundo Ndhlovu was tackled and hit on the head by John Ika and the Tongan was given a red card in the game's final minute. Ndhlovu was stretched off the field; hopefully, it isn't too serious.Neil Powell's charges play their final group B encounter against Scotland on Saturday .finished 4th in the women's 100m butterfly semi-final in 59.02, whilefinished 8th in her semi-final , but neither progressed through to the final.
