Boerne is making its third straight appearance at the UIL boys basketball state tournament Friday.The Boerne Greyhounds and the Houston Washington Golden Eagles are facing off in a Texas Class 4A boys basketball state semifinal at 3 p.m. Friday at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Trevor Agarwhal leads all scorers with 12 points, and Pape has seven for Boerne. Agarwhal, Pape and Koen Wolff each have three assists as Boerne is handling Washington's full court pressure well.Boerne getting hot from deep, briefly takes lead Boerne turned things around quickly, taking a 29-28 lead after a pair of 3-pointers from Trevor Agarwhal and another by Barrett Pape. Washington answered Agarwhal's second 3-pointer with one of their own to retake a 31-29 lead with under a minute left in the half.Washington is up 23-17 after a pair of alley-oops to Chris McDermott on consecutive possessions. McDermott already has 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks.
Washington's Chris McDermott has been a problem for Boerne so far with four points, two rebounds and a block.
