He said that only a handful of countries still have a block on their funds to UNRWA following Israeli accusations that members of its staff took part in the October 7 Hamas attacks. Blinken flew to Amman after talks with Gulf Arab leaders in Riyadh, part of his seventh tour of the region since the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel. The official Palestinian news agency Wafa said the Israeli forces chased the worker in the town of Al Dhaheriya, south of Hebron, and assaulted him leading to his death.The Israeli police have arrested protesters who were rallying in Tel Aviv to pressure the Israeli government to strike a deal with the Hamas group for the release of the Israeli captives held in Gaza.
"It is not clear whether it will accept the proposal or put up obstacles as on previous occasions," Haaretz quoted one Israeli official as saying, without mentioning his name.
