That man is Dale van Blerk. He is walking from Johannesburg to Durban in order to raise funds for flood damaged schools.
There has been a trail of kindness and care from locals along the way and an outpouring of hospitality from hotel groups, homeowners offering a bed, food packs, as well as medical supplies.
