Beloved Afro-pop singer 'Lira' Molapo shared her first health update since she suffered a stoke last month. The Mzanzi star said the she's physically unaffected but her speech remains impaired. She has thanked her followers for the support and prayers.
The incident happened in Germany whilst performing there. Her ability to communicate, particularly her speech, was implemented.
More than a month later, and to fans’ relief, Lira has returned to Instagram with an update. The statement reads:Thank you for your overwhelming love , support and prayers. I am recovering well. Physically I have been unaffected, I am strong and healthy. The stroke has unfortunately affected my speech, however I am making lots of progress every day. I will be taking some time to focus on my recovery. Please keep your prayers coming, I can’t wait to be back soon.
