Lionel Richie announced Monday that he is embarking on the"Sing a Song All Night Long" tour with none other than Earth, Wind & Fire, with a stop in San Francisco. Richie, 73, used his Instagram account to share the news
"Well, my friends. The time has come to announce a tour. Not just any tour but the tour I've been trying to do for years. And now it's actually going to happen," said Richie in the video accompanying his announcement. The tour begins Aug. 4 in Saint Paul, Minn. The 20-date trek will take Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire to cities like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles.
The duo stops in San Francisco on Sept. 8 for the first of two California shows. A Sept. 15 stint at Los Angeles' Kia Forum serves as the finale. Citi cardholders can start purchasing tickets from March 7 at 10 a.m. local time through March 12 at 10 p.m. local time. Public sales begin March 13 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster's website.
