Emma and Peter Jordan identified back in 2021 that they needed to raise £30,000 for a new bedroom and wet room on the ground floor of the family home to provide essential care for their son, Murray.
A Linwood family have been left full of joy after kind-hearted builders transformed their home and a national children's charity made a significant donation to help their disabled son.
The traumatic moment has impacted the life of Murray greatly. He received a quadriplegic cerebral palsy diagnosis and has uncontrolled epilepsy, which results in almost 20 seizures a day.The parents had identified back in 2021 that they needed to raise £30,000 for a new bedroom and wet room on the ground floor of the family home to provide essential care for their 6-year-old son.
The mum-of-three said: "As Murray’s parents, we felt that we should be able to pay for the changes we needed within the home and we couldn’t bring ourselves to ask for help. The move means that the family can continue to provide the care that Murray needs within the family home and, with his bedroom and wet room now downstairs, they will no longer need to physically carry him up and down the stairs every day.
