A family have lost their beloved dog in a house fire, barely a week after moving into their North Hykeham home.
The Dawson family had only recently moved into the terraced house on Station Road, and were still in the process of sorting out insurance.donations can be made hereJoanne was woken by the fire alarm shortly after 11.30pm on Wednesday night. She was asleep in her bedroom in the attic, which had been converted into a third-floor en suite, while George was room on the second floor.Paul was out at the time of the fire, and only found out when he got a call from the emergency services.
The downstairs was "totally devastated" and the rest of the house, including the bathroom, suffered severe smoke damage.
