The cost of buying a home in Limpopo and Mpumalanga is increasing at a faster rate than in South Africa’s economic hubs, as development in these regions drives property inflation to almost double the national average. Lightstone’s latest Residential Property Indices Report, published on Wednesday, shows that annual property price increases for both provinces came in over 7% on a year-on-year basis to the end of May. This is compared to house price inflation of 3.77% in SA.
