LILLEY: NDP candidate Sarah Jama's record shows she isn’t fit for public office Via brianlilley

In video still found online, Jama is seen at a 2021 protest in Toronto claiming that police in Hamilton protect Nazis, while also making strange statements about Israel and killings around the world.

“It’s fine that Israel is illegitimate because Netanyahu isn’t there and we know that’s not true because the same people will continue to fund the killing of people here, locally, and globally.” Jama, who has faced claims of anti-Semitism, including from Jewish groups like B’nai Brith, has never answered specific questions sent to her by this newspaper, just a blanket statement issued by the party that she condemns anti-Semitism.

A lot of people are involved in radical politics while in university, and Jama’s record definitely shows that. Her record also shows that she has not grown out of her radical phase and holds views most voters would find abhorrent.
