NSW Ambulance Duty Operations Manager Carolyn Parish said the two incidents so close together was "extraordinary".
Paramedics work on a woman as a man hoses down fire at a tree after the two were struck by lightning in Acradia. She said paramedics at both Dee Why and Arcadia worked tirelessly on the patients and went to extreme measures."Both patients where firstly assisted by bystanders who commenced CPR prior to paramedics arriving. This is outstanding and they've got to be proud of the effort they made to help out in a tense and distressing situation.
