The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg has sentenced Arkim Phathisani Masuku to life in imprisonment for the murder of a police officer.Arkim Phathisani Masuku has been jailed for life for the murder of a police officer.
The police officer, Sergeant Tshifhiwa Manyuwa, was shot dead in April 2016 and his colleague was wounded when they were driving in an unmarked vehicle in Ebony Park. The man, Arkim Phathisani Masuku, was charged with the officer's murder after he was caught in possession of his service firearm during his arrest for the robbery and attempted murder case.Nkwalase added that the Hawks also linked Masuku to a housebreaking in Tembisa South on 23 March 2016.
