Liberty Promenade has stepped up to provide essential school shoes for learners in Cape Town. With a firm commitment to the Mitchell’s Plain community, the mall recently led an initiative to address the pressing need for adequate footwear among young students.
Recognising the critical role of proper footwear in a child’s education, Liberty Promenade rallied its shoppers to contribute to the cause.
The handover event, held on 22 February, was met with smiles and gratitude from the young recipients. Many learners in South Africa face challenges with worn-out or ill-fitting shoes, hindering their ability to fully engage in school activities.Liberty Promenade’s initiative seeks to alleviate this burden and empower children to pursue their educational goals without obstacles.
The beneficiary learners hail from various areas, including Rocklands, Strandfontein, Bayview, San Remo, Phillippi and Khayelitsha.
