Re “Where Are The Parents?” : This headline really stuck out for me. A number of years ago, we had a happy family when our kids were little, raised with love and discipline, but as they got older, one of them became a wayward teen. We did everything we could to help this teen, but ran up against a system that protected their right to be wayward. No one could help us — not the school nor the police, no one.
It may be true in some cases that parents had a role to play in their teen’s problems, but it is so difficult to raise kids in this type of society. Don’t blame the parents!
