One basketball fan is tired of seeing NBA stars, such as Stephen Curry, sit on the sidelines during games. The NBA has/is a problem: It caters to the owners, the players, their sponsors and their television partners, but not to their fans.
Then I thought about those fans in New Orleans who spent their money hoping to watch their Pelicans compete against future Hall of Fame players. That way they could get rid of back-to-backs and six games in four days and stop fans like me from spending their entertainment dollars on other things. It seems a competent group has bought our lowly AA embarrassment called the Missions, which plays the likes of Corpus Christi. They play, as I understand, in a third-rate stadium near Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. They have talked of a downtown stadium for this minor league team, which seems intriguing.
