A two-tiered health-care system is what we do not want and would be in contravention of the Canada Health Act. The changes coming leverage private funds to bolster the health system infrastructure and not the care provided.
Unfortunately he has obviously never witnessed the tragedies that can occur when gambling has overtaken a weak mind. There are probably no figures to prove that gambling can lead to mental illness but we do know that gambling addiction may be more real than anyone appreciates. And for BellMedia to encourage all the FanDuel advertising on its channels while promoting its Let’s Talk campaign to combat mental illness, then the world has gone a little more insane.
And the ascendancy of the right is certainly not unrelated to the current security concerns of the Israeli people, who, in the absence of peace, will have to settle for peace of mind, something they didn’t have under the previous left-leaning government. Judicial review will, in my view, remain precarious until Israel, a sovereign nation, has fully defined, internationally recognized borders and a full-fledged constitution.
