Calgary Sun Letters to the Editor for June 28, 2023
Our Council needs to rein in their spending agenda. Currently we have the Green Line, BMO renovation, the arts building, and the Saddledome replacement. Now they want a field house and at a $380M price tag, plus a host of other projects including some sort of affordable housing. So how do we pay for it all? They think that the province and feds can kick in, but that is still taxpayers money, and frankly the taxpayer is tapped out. We need to control our spending at all levels.
Many of Bernier’s policies certainly resonated with certain conservative voters. However, since he will never be in a position of power to implement them, Bernier can make bold statements. The emphasis of the Conservative movement must be a united one in order to defeat the most scandal ridden, fiscally irresponsible, green obsessed, divisive government in Canadian history. Votes the PPC take only help Trudeau continue his reckless governance.
