The centerpiece photo showing a smiling Andre McDonald was inconceivable. This man killed his wife and was convicted of manslaughter. He openly admitted to it during the trial with a phone call to his wife’s mother and during open testimony during the trial.Marc KochKudos to the Express-News Editorial Board for printing the column from Catherine Rampell, quoting a Senate staffer who once said of immigration policy, “it takes five minutes to explain, but 30 seconds to lie about.

Intentionally or not, right next to that editorial was an example — a letter to the editor demonstrating demagoguery in a brief statement about the debt ceiling .People who keep pushing the Black and white antagonistic outlook do it for their own benefit. The alleged murder that happened between the Black officers and Tyre Nichols in Tennessee doesn’t benefit anyone.

It’s a video of what is wrong in our society for all of us. Racism keeps being pushed as the all-encompassing villain for all our ills. The real menaces are power, control and greed. We continue to be manipulated by those in charge and the brainwashed media. Our leaders can’t even work together for our common causes, so what chance have we? Stop blaming racism and blame the reality: not working together to resolve our urgent issues.
