I am not sure this is true, but it’s worth a thought. I believe, at this point, Junior knows his days in power are limited, so why not leave an absolute financial disaster for Pierre P. to clean up? PP will have to cut, slash and burn to get things back on track, including much-needed cuts to the civil service. Then, when the next election rolls around, he will have every civil service union, along with all the wokes, trying to take him down.
