An Arlington Heights letter to the editor: Mr. Bertz is right in his letter calling for making all guns illegal! Let's eliminate the Second Amendment. And while we're at it let's get rid of the First Amendment, too.

Mr. Bertz is right in his letter calling for making all guns illegal! Let's eliminate the Second Amendment. And while we're at it let's get rid of the First Amendment, too. Who needs freedom of speech? And how about the Fourth Amendment, the search and seizure amendment? Let the police come to your house any time they want and search.

And while we're at it, the Fifth Amendment against self incrimination. What Mr. Bertz needs to do is emigrate to Cuba or Russia. There the government takes all guns out of the people's hands so"they don't hurt" themselves or cause an uprising against the government. Of course, if Mr. Bertz wrote a letter to the government there like he did to the Daily Herald, he'd be arrested immediately.
