The meeting was over 2.5-hours long and there was far too much information discussed there for me to cover it all here, but the highlights need to be revealed. There was much discussion about 2009 decision by Justice Michael MacDonald against the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and that we must try and have that decision overturned to move forward and we are looking into that presently.

For some reason, our federal and provincial elected officials will not address this problem even though it is the supreme law of Canada. Why?Well, I did comment on this in a previous letter to the editor in the Cape Breton Post and it was about the NSEF starting Canada’s first “Political Auditing Group” and we will vote on this next week in the NSEF.
