It seems that Premier Andrew Furey wants to give away Churchill and Muskrat Falls to Hydro-Québec using his latest secret committee. But if Hydro-Québec gets to run hydroelectricity for northeastern America, there will no inclusion of Indigenous opinions or interests allowed with their new French-only language laws and comments about our latest Governor General being mono-lingual. Clearly, their same colonialism and racism will prevail.
After all, surely Quebec will not be a part of Canada much longer when they only stay now for how much equalization money they can drain from the rest of Canada without any accounting for how they spend it. Once Trudeau and Furey give Quebec the profits from our Muskrat and Churchill Falls, they'll be by far rich enough to leave us and the rest of Canada with the debts.SaltWire Network welcomes letters on matters of public interest for publication.
