STORY CONTINUES BELOW THESE SALTWIRE VIDEOSWhen a young woman of 37 is taken to a hospital, in what we now believe to be critical condition, and left for seven hours to suffer and then die because of staff’s inability to recognize just how sick she was is not just an oversite, but a damn shame on all involved. And that includes both levels of government – federal and provincial.
Yet we cannot find money for health care. We can’t look after our own, yet we send plenty of money overseas for whatever. Sometimes I feel that Canadians care more about our image than actually helping less-fortunate citizens. We have heard some noise that the provincial government was going to fix health care. Well, Premier Houston, it's far past the time to start. People are dying.
To anyone reading this, don’t just put it aside and say why should I care. After all, there may come a day when Mrs. Holtholf’s situation could be your situation. When it’s you spending hours waiting for an ambulance or suffering in pain in a waiting room.
