Squid Game fan Leonardo DiCaprio could star in the show one day - if director Hwang Dong-hyuk gets his way.

‘Maybe if time allows and if chances allow we should ask him to join the game. We have already joked about that,’ he added, according toThe screenwriter, who directed the 2011 crime drama film Silenced, admitted that it wasn’t in his ‘plan’ for household names in Hollywood to join the cast of Squid Game in season two, with the next batch of episodes also being set in Korea.
Scandal star Kerry Washington, singer Billie Eilish, musician Liam Gallagher and talk show host Connan O’Brien all tweeted about Squid Game following its release, with rapper Cardi B even changing her profile picture at one point to a photo of the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ doll.
