Former NI international Stephen Robinson is also at the head of the betting
Neil Lennon has been backed into hot favourite for another managerial job. The former Celtic boss was heavily linked with the Republic of Ireland post and has been tipped for several other coaching positions this season.
And now the former Northern Ireland captain is being backed to become Aberdeen's new manager. He is the current 1/4 favourite to step into the Pittodrie hotseat. Aberdeen are searching for a new manager after Barry Robson was sacked last month, and interim boss Neil Warnock announced his departure just moments after the club's Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Kilmarnock.Lennon leads the betting at 1/4. Ex-Stoke City manager Alex Neil is 7/4, followed by ex-NI midfielder and current St Mirren chief Stephen Robinson . Former Aberdeen and current Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes is at 9/2, with current Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill .
“Neil Lennon enjoyed plenty of success in the Scottish Premiership during his time at Celtic and even recently expressed his interest in the Aberdeen job, so it’s of little surprise to see he heads the betting. “Other names in contention for the role are former Dons boss Derek McInnes, as well as Alex Neil and Michael O’Neill, with Aberdeen looking for their sixth different manager in the last three years.”
