The Whites boss has been reflecting on behind the scenes at the club
Daniel Farke says Leeds United are on the right path following 49ers Enterprises acquisition of the club in the summer. The new owners appointed the German head coach, tasked with leading the Whites back to the Premier League following the relegation last season.
"Well, it's always important you're in the driving seat as a club and you're in control of the contracts and everything," Farke told reporters before reflecting on the Whites current situation. "No one is bigger than the club."Not one player, even the biggest star player. Yes, we have great players and want to keep all the players but it's important that you're in control of the contracts, who stays and who goes. It's quite crucial.
"But, it's professional football and sometimes the wind can be in your face and it can be tricky, when a new manager arrives or with things going on in the background, you still have to give some stability to the club and lead the club through some stormy times. "We're not the finished product but our process is quite good. Until we can be really happy and proud of ourselves and think 'okay we're in a really good position' we needs lots of work behind the scenes and many, many areas where we want and need to improve.Get Leeds United news to your phone with our WhatsApp community Want the inside track on transfers?
