Brenden Aaronson is among the Leeds United players Daniel Farke will be waiting for until the 11th hour of his Sheffield United preparations
Preparations for Friday’s Yorkshire derby with unbeaten Sheffield United have already begun for Leeds United, despite the limited number of players Daniel Farke has had to work with. Of the fit players with Championship minutes this season, only nine outfield options did not travel away, while it’s unclear how much work Daniel James and Manor Solomon have been able to do.
Aaronson’s likely to report to Thorp Arch on Thursday morning, at best, and he may be jetlagged in addition to the workload of that USA fixture. Junior Firpo and Ao Tanaka also have long flights back to the UK, but may be back soon enough to get to the training ground tomorrow. Wilfried Gnonto, Charlie Crew and Mateo Joseph are involved in games being played in Europe today. Their far shorter flight times should mean it’s straightforward to get to Thorp Arch tomorrow for recovery sessions.
