Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear says the they have a replacement at the same level
Leeds United believe they are not weaker without Archie Gray this season and have completed a great piece of business in securing a replacement equally as good at a fraction of the cost. Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear has delivered that assessment when discussing the loss of Gray to Tottenham Hotspur and why the deal represented a tremendous piece of business for the Whites.
It's clear the Whites saw the Bogle deal as a replacement for Gray, despite the teenager's midfield preference and versatility. At five years old, Bogle boasts far greater experience than Gray, both in terms of Championship games and Premier League action, too. Pointing to his ability, Kinnear says the presence of Bogle means Leeds are no weaker this season, while the club effectively made £35m in swapping Bogle for Gray within their squad.
