Exclusive: The England international is set to become Leeds Rhinos' latest major signing for the 2024 season.
Leeds Rhinos have completed the signing of Salford Red Devils prop Andy Ackers, Rugby League Live understands. The England international is set to sign a long-term contract at Headingley after the Rhinos agreed a transfer fee with their Super League rivals.
It is the latest sale approved by Salford, who are also set to cash in on Brodie Croft, who will follow Ackers to West Yorkshire next year. They sold Tyler Dupree earlier in the year while a deal that will see Oli Partington head to Warrington Wolves, with Joe Bullock going the other way, is still in the works but not yet agreed. It's unclear whether the sale of Ackers will impact that deal. Salford have made no secret of their financial issues in recent weeks.
