Oldham are going big on their recruitment drive ahead of 2024.
Oldham RLFC are making significant moves in preparation for the 2024 season, bolstering their squad with promising talent and experienced players.
Jumah Sambou, previously with St Helens, has been signed to strengthen the team's roster. Sambou, a winger, made his debut for St Helens in 2022 against Castleford Tigers and also gained experience with a Swinton Lions appearance. In 2023, he primarily featured in reserve rugby, gaining valuable match time before accepting a move to Oldham.
Additionally, the Roughyeds have secured the services of Bailey Aldridge, a promising youngster from Leeds Rhinos. Aldridge was part of the Rhinos' Under-18s squad that clinched the Academy Grand Final trophy in 2022, showcasing his potential at a young age. Hailing from the Batley Boys community side in West Yorkshire, Aldridge is set to bring his youthful enthusiasm to Oldham. These signings are part of a broader recruitment strategy for Oldham RLFC, led by Mike Ford.
Plus, the addition of the pacey winger Mo Agoro further enhances their squad's depth and potential as they are determined to make a significant impact in the third tier and get back into the Championship next season.
