The homes have suffered for years.

Thousands of litres of excrement are being dumped regularly in garden's across the town of Walton in North Leeds.

However, more than 50 people have objected, saying they have concerns about even more pressure on the local sewage system. One local, Phil Robinson, said the issues had affected the town “for at least 30 years”. "Phil and his wife have to go out and have a wash in the local sports club. It’s 2023. That’s what it’s like to live with a bad sewer.

"We are currently investigating our network there and will explore long-term solutions to tackle this issue.
