Leeds Bradford Airport was forced to shut on Friday following an incident where a plane skidded off the runway
TUI passengers due to travel from Leeds Bradford Airport are being directed to Manchester as the reopening of the airport has been pushed back.
The airport said it hoped to have opened by 10am in a statement on Saturday morning, but later said it was working hard to reopen at the later time of 2pm. It had earlier been delayed from 10am to 11am.TUI said customers who were due to travel from Leeds Bradford were being directed to Manchester Airport.
“TUI customers due to travel on their holiday today will depart from Manchester Airport and have been contacted directly by our customer service team. TUI Airways is assisting the AAIB with their investigation and working hard to support the reopening of Leeds Bradford Airport.” "We are working collaboratively to resolve this situation and return services safely and as quickly as possible. We strongly advise passengers to contact their airline to check the status of their flight."
