Thabiso Lebitso’s stunner against Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby was voted DStv Premiership Goal of the Month for February/March.
Orlando Pirates wing-back Thabiso Lebitso has explained why he took a shot from outside the 18-yard box during the Soweto Derby match against Kaizer Chiefs last month.
“It’s a really great feeling to score the goal, because as a midfielder, now defender you quite don’t get the chance to score goals but I scored one of the goals so far in my career, so it’s a great feeling,” Lebitso told“If you maybe you can come here at training, that’s when the goalkeepers will tell you ‘ey, this one hits the ball too hard’.
Lebitso’s thunderbolt also helped Orlando Pirates secure a double over Kaizer Chiefs this season. He also revealed that his goal against the Glamour Boys was a “dream come true”.
