Nine learners in the Western Cape were caught attempting to sneak smartphones into matric venues allegedly to cheat on exams.
The Western Cape Department of Education says it has caught nine learners attempting to bring cellphones and crib notes into venues for matric exams.In October a viral video alleging that learners were using AI to cheat in exams was proven fake.
This agreement is also signed by the parent or guardian of the learners who are writing “so that both acknowledge that they are aware of the rules and the consequences.” “Cheating is a serious offence in the examination. It puts pupils and teachers in a serious situation. Results can be withheld, pupils can be barred from writing the exams for five years, they could be arrested and educators could be fired,” KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education communications head Muzi Mahlambi told
