Dwayne Roth, the former CEO of Fort McKay Métis Group, was charged in June 2020 following allegations of a sexual assault that happened in May 2017 in Lac La Biche County. The accusations were reported to St. Paul RCMP in Dec. 2018. The charges were dropped in June.

“I need to be compensated for the severe harm this has caused,” Roth said in a Wednesday interview. “It affected every part of my life. … I was never found guilty, but the court of public opinion said otherwise.”
