The attorney representing a former Mpumalanga ANC councillor accused of double murder in the politically strife-torn Barberton area has poured cold water on the state’s case, calling it “weak.”

Msibi handed himself over to the police on October 11. He and two co-accused, Joseph Charlie Ngwenya and Tshepo Matsane , have since been charged with murder and attempted murder. They were released on R20 000 bail each.
