Extreme temperatures and wildfires have been causing disruption to a lot of summer holidays so far this year. If you're due to fly out to Greece, Spain, or Turkey soon then this is the latest travel advice issued by the Foreign Office
: Extreme temperatures are affecting many areas of Greece. There are still active wildfires across Greece, including in populated areas on the mainland and a number of islands.
The Foreign Office said: “Wildfires are highly dangerous and unpredictable. The situation can change quickly. Follow“Be cautious if you are in or near an area affected by wildfires. You should follow the guidance of the emergency services, call the Greek Emergency Services on 112 if you are in immediate danger, contact your airline or travel operator who can assist you with return travel to the UK.
