SuperSport and Gavin Hunt could be set for a sensational reunion following the latest development at the Tshwane-based outfit, the Siya crew has been informed.Speculation has been rife about who would succeed Kaitano Tembo as the club’s head coach following his departure in April.

His former assistant coach and Bafana Bafana legend Andre Arendse, was tasked with overseeing the last few games of the season, and maintain the club’s rich history of finishing in the top eight. According to well-placed Siya sources, Hunt met with the club’s hierarchy last week to discuss his possible return to SuperSport.

With both coach and club having lost their way in recent times, the reunion could be a match made in heaven.three consecutive PSL championships between 2007 to 2009, among other trophies. The 57-year-old has been without a job since December 2021 after parting ways with Chippa United following an unsatisfactory spell with the Gqeberha-based outfit and it now remains to be seen if the four-time league winner will seal a return to Matsatsantsa A Pitori ahead of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign.
