Late no-show – accused in Gauteng businesswoman's rape case fails to appear, after being summoned
The accused in the decade old rape case of Gauteng businesswoman Andy Kawa, who was attacked in the dunes of the Gqeberha beachfront and gang-raped for 16 hours, was a no-show in the Gqeberha Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The only accused in the case, a vagrant who was arrested earlier this year, more than 13 years after Kawa was viciously attacked in December 2010, was requisitioned to the Eastern Cape High Court on Wednesday, according to the State.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
