Police have blocked access to the road
A large cordon is in place following an incident. Police, fire and ambulance have been called to Dacre Street in Birkenhead this morning, Wednesday, October 16.
The incident is near Wirral Met College and around three ambulances can be seen on Dacre Street. Fire crews were called to a fire at a warehouse on Lorn Street, Birkenhead on October 11. Crews were alerted at 2.38am and on scene at 2.44am with eight fire engines and an aerial appliace in attendance. Firefighters arrived to find a warehouse 10 x 30 metres in size well alight with fire coming through the roof.There is a very strong chemical smell in the air.We are live from Dacre Street in Birkenhead which is currently cordoned off following an incident.
