After 15 podiums and 110 starts, Lando Norris is finally an F1 winner at the Miami Grand Prix.
Lando Norris wins the Miami Grand Prix with a Max Verstappen-level margin of victory on Sunday evening, crossing the finish line 7.612 seconds ahead of Verstappen. Norris finally beat the three-time World Champion for his first F1 victory in his 110 Grand Prix start. Norris had the longest run of podium finishes without a win in F1 history, many have been waiting for his win to come through finally.
He bounced back in qualification to start fifth and powered towards the front.While on the cool-down lap, Norris was heard screaming in celebration before stating that he knew today was the day.'I knew it when I came in this morning and said today is the day,' Norris said over the radio. 'I nailed it; you nailed it.'Everyone agrees it's been time for Norris' first victory; Verstappen walked over and told his competitor it is 'About time.
