After improvements to the former, beloved Laemmle site, the new owners opened their doors in a ‘soft opening’ on Tuesday.
Theater officials invited the community to attend a soft opening on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Tickets to view Avatar: The Way of Water and The Fablemans between were being sold on the company’s website.
The Playhouse 7 was built by Laemmle Theatres, opening Feb. 5, 1999. It’s been beloved by Los Angeles cinephiles in the decades since. People walk past the new Landmark Theatre in Pasadena on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the site of the former Laemmle Theatre.
