A vital Lancashire charity which helps children and young people with disabilities has revealed plans to open a specialist school

.

The charity has supported up to as many as 85 families a week with its child brain injury services, helping children to reach their potential through fun, hands-on therapies and giving their parents vital support. It was greatly supported by the late philanthropist and Preston North End owner Trevor Hemmings, and organises several fundraising events per year.

“We believe that we are now in a position to develop a school specialising in teaching children with neurological conditions and with an emphasis on health and educational needs. We have had some informal consultations with parents and the local neighbourhood and hope to recruit a head teacher early next year, but a formal public consultation will take place once we have developed our plans.”
