LANCASTER, Pa. — The transformation of theis underway, as the the golf course prepares for the USGA Women's Open at the end of May.
This is the second time since 2015 that the U.S. Women's Open returns to Lancaster County. Crews have been working for weeks to build out the course to welcome in fans. "It's a really cool process to start from the ground up, and then realize that in a short time, we'll have fans and players here," said White.
“There is that longer-term effect where businesses are gaining from people dining out, staying in hotel rooms, and using local supplies," said Joel Cliff, the director of communications for Discover Lancaster.
